Certified Protection Professional (CPP)

Course Description

The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is considered the “gold standard” certification for security management professionals, and It demonstrates the Candidate’s knowledge and competency in seven key security domains. CPP is a globally recognized certification for security management professionals.

About the CPP Exam

There can be 200 scored MCQs (multiple-choice questions), and the exam may also contain 25 randomly distributed pre-test (unscored) questions for a total of up to 225 questions to complete in 4 hours. The exam includes tasks, knowledge, and skills in seven domains that CPP identifies as the areas involved in security management.

Eligibility

7 years of experience in security, of which, at least 3 years shall have been in a position of responsible charge.
OR
5-6 years of security management experience depending on education level achieved and 3 years of responsible charge of a security function.
AND

  • Shall have been employed full-time in a security-related role
  • Not have been convicted of any criminal offense that would reflect negatively on the security profession.
  • Sign and agree to abide by the Certification Code of Conduct
  • Agree to abide by the policies of the Certification programs as outlined in the respected association Certification Handbook.
